Die Kata
des Wado-Ryu wurden von Hironori Otsuka auf der Basis seiner
Studien des Karate von Gichin Funakoshi und des Shito-Ryu von Kenwa Mabuni entwickelt,
wobei teilweise die Einflüsse des Shito-Ryu deutlicher zum Ausdruck
kommen.
Ursprünglich waren im Wado-Ryu nur die Pinan
Kata, die Naifanchin (Shodan), sowie die Seishan, Kushanku und
Chinto enthalten.
Weitere Kata wurden erst später hinzugefügt. Und
je nach Schule ist auch die Suparimpei (Pechurrin) hinzu gekommen. |

Hironori Otsuka changed the
Kata of Wado-Ryu based on his studies of Shotokan teached by Gichin
Funakoshi and the Shito-Ryu of Kenwa Mabuni. Though the influence of
Shito-Ryu is more visible.
In the beginning the Pinan Kata, the Naifanchin (Shodan), the Seishan,
Kushanku an Chinto was included in the style.
More Kata has been added later. And also there are some schools in
present time which using Suparimpei. Maybe for competition reason. |

Uke und den anschließenden Yama zukis, ist wieder Shotokan

Wado-Ryu wurden lediglich Gyaku Age Uke hinzugefügt. Statt Age
Uke, Gyaku zuki ist es hier Age Uke, Gyaku Age Uke, Choku zuki. |

But in Wado Ryu style a Gyaku Age Uke has been add. So in the
first row it is Age Uke, Gyaku Age Uke, Choku zuki instead for

Passagen auf Art der Kanku Dai des Shotokan ausgeführt. |

for the Ushiro Gedan Barai will be done a Gedan Barai in
Zenkutsu Dachi in the same direction as the Gyaku zuki bevore. |
