Warum Kata?
Kata
ist
the
soul
of
Karate.
Kata
are
much
more
than
a
number
of
techniques
in
a
row.
Each
Kata
includes
a
whole
system
of
fighting,
an
own
method,
a
kind
or
Art.
However
we
like
to
call
it.
But
this
is
not
open
to
see.
Because
the
techniques
in
the
Kata
are
never
performed
with
all
for
a
bunkai
needed
details.
In
every
movement
there
are
hidden
parts.
Like
an
iceberg
the
mainpart
of
the
Kata
is
invisible.
The
real
using
of
the
techniques
are
not
shown,
they
will
only
be
thought
while
doing
the
kata.

using
of
the

are
not

But
the
training
of
Kata
improves
all
the
skills
which
are
necessary
for
to
use
the
techniques
in
a
real fight.
But
this
needs
a
lot
of
training
for
many
years.
The
true
mastering of a Kata is more than a perfect performance.
A
lot
of
masters
are
able
to
teach
many
Kata,
but
often
they
are
calling
just
one
as
a
Tokui
Kata.
The
Kata
they
favourite.
But
it
will
never
be
a
Kata
which
don't
match
to
the
body
structre,
body skills and the personality of the master.
It's
not
possible
to
master
a
lot
of
Kata,
but
it's
possible
to
study
a
lot
of
them.
For
someone
who
like
Kata,
one
is
more
beautiful
than
the
other.
And
it's
only
a
question
of
time
to
find
the
favourite
one.
And
it’s
not
important
if
the
Kata
is
used
in
the
style
someone
practise.
Only
important
is
the
wish
to
practise
this
single
favourite
Kata.
It's
possible
to
say
that
Karate
will
be
defind
by
the
Kata
and
not
by
the
school
or
style.
A
lot
of
Kata
has
been
changed
in
a
way
that
they
match
with
the
concept
style.
But
not
each
Kata
matches
with
each
body.
And
also
not
every
style
does.
I
believe
that
every
orthopadic
doctor
would
agree
with
me,
when
I
say
that
Karate
should
match
with
the
body
and
not
with
the
style.
I
don't
say
that
the
authentic
Karate
of
a
style
isn't
good
for
the
body.
But
if,
for
example,
the
anatomy
of
a
hip
don't
like
a
Yoko
Geri,
it's
better
to
use
a
Kata,
or
a
version
of
a
Kata
(Kanku
Dai
=
Yoko
Geri,
Kosokun
Dai
=
Mae Geri) where aren't Yoko Geri's.
